Manatee County – Florida Highway Patrol has announced that one person has died after losing control of their sedan and was ejected from the vehicle on US-41 and 37th Street Court East in Manatee County Tuesday Afternoon.
According to the report by FHP, the fatal crash began as a sedan driven by a 20-year-old man from Palmetto Florida, was traveling north in the left lane on US-41 North, approaching 37th Street Court East and the entrance ramp with US-41 Business Route.
At the same time, another vehicle, a sport utility vehicle driven by a 58-year-old woman approached 37th Street Court East and US-41 North.
The Palmetto man lost control of the sedan, which caused the sedan to veer across the right lane of US-41 North and onto the grass portion of the roadway.
At 5:44 P.M. the sedan rotated and overturned onto the entrance ramp of US-41 Business Route, and then collided with the left rear of the sport utility vehicle.
The man from Palmetto was ejected from the sedan and sustained critical injuries. He was then transported to an area hospital and was later pronounced deceased.
This crash remains under investigation by authorities.
