Manatee County – Florida Highway Patrol has announced that one person has died in an car accident in Bradenton Tuesday Afternoon.
According to the report by FHP, the fatal crash began as a sedan, driven by a 42-year-old man from Bangor Maine, was driving south on Tara Boulevard when he was attempting to follow a right curve in the roadway while he was approaching the intersection with Chickasaw Boyou Road.
At 4:47 P.M. For an unknown reason, driver of the sedan failed to negotiate the curve and as a result, the sedan traveled off the roadway and entered the grass median and collided with a light pole and two street signs. After crashing into the light pole, the sedan continued on and crossed over the northbound travel lanes where it struck a tree.
FHP has stated that the driver was pronounced deceased after the crash, and that the crash remains under investigation.
