BRADENTON – Florida Highway Patrol reported a man from Bradenton has passed away after being hit by a sedan while walking on US 41 (14th St W) Saturday night.

The fatal accident occurred as a 24-year-old man from Saraota was driving a sedan heading south on US-41 south of the intersection with 51st Avenue West.

As the sedan was approaching from the north, a 45-year-old man from Bradenton Florida was walking on the southbound lanes of US-41.

At 10:37:00 PM the pedestrian crossed into the path of the oncoming car and the front of the car collided with the pedestrian.

First responders pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene of the crash.

FHP stated in the report that the accident remains under investigation.
